Actually, the adapters are bidirectional. I have numerous DB-15 monitors
plugged into VGA and visa-versa using both the adapters that came with
my monitors and el-cheapo PC ones in both directions. Just bop over to
the closest Mac dealer and buy some for eight bucks a pop (similiarly,
you can use 6-pin serial cables in place of ADB & S-Video cables without
incident, electronics really isn't as confusing as it seems).
