Mail 2.1.3, Mac OS 10.4.11

I want to attach 3 files to a mail message, all saved (through Print
menu option) as PDFs with that extension. When I select the messages
to attach via the button in the Mail window or by dragging the file into
the message, two of the documents show up with the PDF icon and the name
and size of the file; the third document displays the content of the
file. Two of the three files started out as MS Word docs and one of
them is the offender here; the other is behaving as I expect it to.

Anyone know why and, more importantly, how I can make that one look like
the others ‹ icon with name and file size?

Thanks for your help. Be gentle ‹ I'm old and fragile.

That could explain it the other two files are more than one page.
Thanks.

But to answer the main question - how to make it display like the others
- right click (or control click) on the PDF file and select "Display as
Icon" or words to that effect.

Check out this program: Mail Attachments Iconizer 2.1. It lets you
control how attachments appear.

I don't think this is possible. I am on a Mac Users Group mailing list
and this same question has come up there since the days Mac OS X first
came out. You might be better off looking at a different email package.

Don't tell me our Danish friend's affliction is spreading!

Don't worry just yet, since the major part of the affliction is to come
back and argue that it's impossible despite the fact that everyone else
can do it, and that hasn't happened here.
