HD camcorders are becoming one essential part of people daily life. And usually we will make some recordings with some splitted clips or with one big one file. For smoothly playing and editing, we would like to join or split them. According my experience, there is not any software which focuses on combining or spliting AVCHD video files without decoding. Now i share a software called http://www.brorsoft.com/mts-converter-mac/index.html (Brorsoft MTS/M2TS Converter for Mac) which has one functions of combining and trimming and also you can get video files with .mts/.m2ts. Hope it helps numerous HD camcorder owners.

Following is the detailed guide on how to merge and trim AVCHD files.

Step 1, Load AVCHD video files to this program.
Drag AVCHD video files from hard drive to this program directly or clik "Add" button to import recordings. Batch video files are allowed to imported for combining.

Merging several video files into big one can be easily realised by ticking the checkbox of "Merge into one file" under the preview window. And spliting one big file can be accomplished by following these step : Click "Editor" and another interface will come out with the Trim button. Click the “Trim” bar to split the current title or chapter by dragging the Start Time slider to set the start time, and dragging the End Time slider to set the finish time.
