Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>misc (more info?)

what's your impression of the new Mini Core2Duo for showing full size
HD (1080p) content ?

When playing 1080p content (e.g.
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/guide/hd/bbc-blue.html) on my previous
Mini (Core Duo 1.83GHz with 2GB RAM), high motion scenes (like 00:00:17
to 00:00:20) stumble and go down from 30fps to 10fps.

The same file, on the same 1080p LCD TV, playing on a Mini 2GHz Core 2
Duo with 2GB RAM, high motion scenes still drop to about 15fps...

So, for me the new Mini C2D still cannot fullfill the job to show full
HD content in all its' glory.
