a) Win2k client or server? If server than enable the AppleTalk protocol,
and Services for Macintosh on Win2k.
b) If client, you have several choices depending on whether you have OS X
or OS 9.
1) OS 9, either get DAVE for the Mac, or Miramar PC/Maclan for Win2k.
2) OS X, just configure SAMBA to join the same domain as the Win2k box.

DAVE 5.0 supports OS 8.6 - 9.2.2, so that is still a viable option. DAVE
costs $119 per license, and you would need just one.
(see <a rel="nofollow" style='text-decoration: none;' href="http://www.thursby.com" target="_blank">http://www.thursby.com</a>)

PC/MacLan supports Windows 95/98/Me, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. It
then allows them to share files with any Mac that supports AppleTalk.
It costs $189. (see <a rel="nofollow" style='text-decoration: none;' href="http://ca.miramar.com/Products/PC_MACLAN/win_nt2kxp.html" target="_blank">http://ca.miramar.com/Products/PC_MACLAN/win_nt2kxp.html</a>>

So DAVE is more economical. PC/MacLan is more Mac-friendly, IMO.
