Outlook Connector Validation problems

Hi, I'm trying to download the windows outlook connector, but I think I have
to use the alternate method since I don't get a message in yellow
(information bar?) at the top of the screen asking me to download activeX.
However when i try to do the alternate method then click continue (like it
says) for the validation thing instead of getting a message asking me to run
it I just a page saying internet explorer cannot display webpage. Is there
somewhere else I could perhaps try downloading it? Or do I have to change
something?
