Year 2000 Powerbook G3 500mhz. Excellent overall condition, good screen
with minimal keyboard scuffs. 384mb ram, 20gb HD, 2 batteries, both good,
VST imation superdisk module (works in OS 9, not yet in OS X), 2 Firewire, 2
USB, 10/100BT ethernet, 56K modem, PCMCIA card slot, VGA and S-Video out,
Stereo audio in/out, built in mike. Infrared port (with missing window.
Taped over to keep out dust). DVD Rom drive (plays movies and reads DVD data
but doesn't mount CD's). Currently running OS X Jaguar 10.2.5 and OS 9.2.2.
Lots of apps are loaded but the licenses of the commercial apps are not
included. If you do not have a license please erase the data as the retail
value of the programs (office v.X and 2001, Photoshop, Golive, InDesign,
etc.) is very high.
Many people prefer the Pismo over a PB G4 because of the 2 firewire
ports and the modular bays for drives or batteries. It is also a little less
fragile than a G4 Titanium. The 14 inch screen also displays text larger and
therefore somewhat easier to read.
Asking $725 - note the 2 defects 1: The DVD drive doesn't read CD's and 2:
the IR port cover is missing. All else is working correctly.

Options - Buy an external FW powered VST CD-RW for $90 and/or an Apple
Airport card for $60 or an Orinoco Silver 802.11b card for $50 (better
reception at a distance)
