Hello all,
I have a Ultra Scan 1000HS Dell Trinitron PC monitor I would like to
use with a PowerMac 7100. I also have a Mac/IBM adaptor: 15DM/HF-10P
adapter. According to the monitor type, resolution, and Mode type on
the adaptor instructions, I've tried just about every combination with
no luck. Has anyone had any success in doing this?

Thanks
M7

Yep, I've got four macs, all running PC monitors. I have mac to vga
adapters on all of them, Including two 7100s my 7500 and a G3.
In fact I have a Dell monitor on one of my 7100s right now-
I got a couple of them free from Viewsonic since I have two viewsonic
monitors. You can purchase them from Viewsonic, but I found lots of them
on ebay for around five bucks.
Get an older adapter with a newer system and the charts won't include
your system. The ones I have use a rotary switch with a row of
dip-switches too. By trial and error, i've gotten them to work It's a
pain though because you have to completely reboot to try each
combination of switch settings.
Anything I can do to help you out, let me know......DaveC.....<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
