Pac in Time

I am going insaaane! Pac in Time, a classic old game... I'm on a
Pyramid level which starts with a pair of sawblades... There is an
acid bath which is way too long to jump over, and there is no rope for
swinging over it. HOW in the world to I get OVER it?!

A little Google search tells me that I'm not the first to get stuck,
but there doesn't seem to be anyone who actually knows how to do it =)

Help!
