Panther - X vs. X11 - Hi all - I recently upgraded my iBook to Panther, and I notice now that I can get an xterm by using 'startx' in the normal terminal - and I can launch things from that just fine and it all seems to work - but the in the menu bar is just..

Panther and BSD - I I can ftp to a site off my computer but I can't ftp There is something set up wrong on my BSD system. Does anybody know what? BTW, a couple of months ago, in for this upgrade, I asked if anybody was..

Panther and DVD+R - According to Apple's official for OS 10.3, it now supports DVD+R. Does this mean that, if I upgrade my iBook 800 MHz (with Toshiba SD-R2212 combo drive) from Jaguar to Panther, then I will be able to read all of these data DVD+R discs..

Sounds like Drive 10 has a clue. You wouldn't want it to defrag a disk
structure it knew nothing about.

You can turn off journaling, defrag the drive, then turn journaling back
on....

Not at this time, but it's not really an issue. Techtool Pro 4 will
probably address this.

What's unclear about the statement? DiskWarrior only defragments
directories. It doesn't defragment disks.
