My PowerMac G4 lost power due to a minor blackout in the neighborhood.
The machine was sleeping at the time. Since then the power button
is irresponsive. The white light comes on when it is pressed and
fades out after a second when released, but the machine doesn't react.
The behavior is the same with all peripheral connections removed.

I'd be grateful for hints.

Thanks, that did it.

I wasn't aware such a beast existed. I'm happy happy to make its
acquaintance.
