Post subject: Print server problems...
Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>printing (more info?)

I had my Canon S820 connected to my iMac G4, OS 10.2.6 via USB and it worked
fine. I also have several PCs on a home network so I added a print sharer
to share the printer. The PCs did fine, but I cannot connect the iMac via
the print sharer. I am using IP printing rather than Apple Talk. I tried
Apple Talk, the ports appeared, but I still could not print.

The Canon does not show up in the printer list when connected via the print
server, even though the drivers are properly installed. (The S820 does show
up as a USB printer.) If I choose "Other" from the printer list I have no
idea how to navigate to where the print drivers are installed on the iMac.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
