If the HP has ethernet or can have a directjet ethernet port attached to it,
then I'd put it on the local network and print that way.
Of course, if the directjet port costs close to $150, you might want to just
buy a second printer.
USB cards are cheap, so if two of them cost less than $150 and both machines
have PCI slots available, that's an alternative.
