Would appreciate if anyone has a suggestion as to what might be
causing the following:
OS X 10.2.8, Powerbook 15" (G4/866MHz/768MB), Security Update
2004-02-23
I've found that since installing the 2004-02-23 security update that
cups (printing subsystem) crashes when the system awakens from sleep
and the network environment has changed.
If it's relevant: I have a network printer installed via the cups 'Add
Printer' mechanism (127.0.0.1:631), this IPP printer resides on
network "B" below
Steps to reproduce:
1. System (network) Location is "A"
2. Unplug network connection
3. Put system to sleep
4. Plug sleeping system into new network (Location "B")
5. Awaken system
The above happens every time.
I have also noticed that cups will crash on occasion after extended
sleeps, without changing the network connection. i.e. put it to sleep
in the evening, awoke next morning -> cupsd crashed.
