I have seen a problem similar to what you describe with a file in which
the Page Setup was set to zoom to a certain percentage and the Print
Quality was set to "Normal." Which version of XL for the Mac are you
using? I suspect that if the Print Quality of your file is "Normal"
that file might have been created in a different version or even
perhaps in Windows. The default print quality for XL 2004 on the Mac is
"High". The print quality would be saved with the file and if it were
set to something else it might get converted to "Normal" when opened in
your version. "Normal" is not NORMAL and prints at a lower quality. I
was able to fix the problem that I found by either changing the
percentage of zoom OR changing "Normal" to "High". High is obviously
the best solution. I believe this was sent to Mac Office Testing as a
possible problem in at least XL2004 and perhaps earlier. The fix
however is easy. Please let us know if this helps.
