I used (in Outlook) to sort all of my email traffic to an entity in
one folder. This means that I store all incoming and outgoing (Sent) e-
mail in one folder and sort the messages by date. This allows me to
follow the actual timeline of all mail sent and received easily.
Entourage allows me to sort my mail by date received or by date sent
but not by a simple "Date" that I know of. The allowance of only Date
received or Date sent always separates the timeline of when I sent and
received the mail messages and makes looking for a particular subject
or group of e-mail difficult. Is there any way of resolving this very
frustrating problem or do I need to look for a new mail client?

Why not just use Date Sent? You'll really only run into trouble if one of
the clocks involved is slightly off and you're having a rapid-fire
conversation with someone.
