Post subject: Question QTP and MPG files
Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>hardware>video (more info?)

When using QuickTime Pro to convert MPEG1 (Muxed track) files to either
MPEG4. DV Stream or MOV , the sound is not incorporated in the converted
file. I am assuming the audio and video are inseparable in the original.
Is there any way around this?

Does anyone know of a solution?

Many thanks.

Theo

have managed this in a roundabout way by but other solutions welcomed

1) export to suitable format e.g mpeg 4 - or MOV and save

2) using Audi Hijack Pro* captured the sound as an mp3

3) open mp3 in QTPro

4) Select all and copy

5) Added to the newly converted mpeg4 or mov file using the Edit > Add
Scaled command.

6) resave file
