Don't have it to test out, but having two processors doesn't help in
games ported from Windows generally. They don't program for multiple
processors.

But, that may finally be changing in the future...

That's nonsense. Quake 4 definitely supports SMP (even Quake 2 did that
already), and there are several other Windows games that are at least
partially multithreaded and thus support SMP.

That's why I said "generally". I don't know in all cases, but I have a
couple of ports from windows games that even though they have multiple
threads, only hit the upper 90's for percentage of use on my dual G4.
Most notable for me was Neverwinter Nights.

The thing is that just because the original Windows game does support
SMP doesn't mean the Mac port will do that, too. Porting Windows games
to Mac is a bit more than just another compiler run. Porting to Mac
means a bunch of alterations to the code and also writing several parts
from scratch. The resolut might look the same like the Windows game (and
the game content usually is indeed the same), the underlying program is
totally different, though.
