How do I get rid of Yahoo (left behind by my daughter)? I just want
Internet Explorer, not IE Yahoo. I have latest IE (6 or 7 - How do I
check?).

You must either be still using OS9, to have these choices. You will
have better internet browsing and searching by using more up-to-date
browsers, such as Mozilla for OS9 and Netscape 7.0 for OS9. The
newest IE for OS9 was 5.1.7, 2003 produced.

If you are actually using OSX, 10.2 or later, you should be using
Firefox or Safari, even Opera. The newest IE for OSX was 5.2.3, from
2003, no longer developed or supported by Microsoft.

Thanks for the reply. I am on an iMac G5 using OS 10.4 and Safari 2.
I also have VPC 7 with Windows 2000 Pro running IE 6. My daughter has
moved out and left the IE 6 swamped by Yahoo. (She had used the VPC
sort of as her own computer.) Now I need to use IE 6 to download
information from two data bases that do not recognize Safari or Mac or
both. And, I would like to do it without the Yahoo being in the way.
How can I get rid of all that Yahoo?

I have figured it out and been able to remove Yahoo from my screen
(home page and toolbar and no longer the IE default mail client).
Yahoo is still on my computer (so my daughter can readily use it on
visits), but now I do not have to look at it. Incidentally, thanks to
you, I did download Firefox for Mac and found that it works on one of
my sought databases (whereas Safari could not show the images). Much
faster than VPC.
