I just got this tonight. I figured, I bought the optional higher end
video card, no problem driving this monitor.

Well.

At full rez (1920x1200@60Hz), I get a lot of flickering. At the next
one down (1600x1200@60Hz), I get much less flickering. The monitor is
connected via the digital cable. Is the flickering due to the video
card, or do I have a defective monitor?

Also, I'm coming from a Mitsubishi 900u I bought in 1998 whose flyback
transformer is apparently on its way out. I'm very used to that
monitor. This new one doesn't appear to be as accurate with its colors.
Is that just par for the course?

Just a thought, but have you tried connecting it through the
VGA connector?
(seriously)

ANALOG?!? Nope, never thought of that. You really think it might work
better??

I spoke with Apple yesterday. They thought it might need a new driver,
so I went to ATI and found something. I think it might have reduced the
flickering somewhat.
