Just minutes after postign that last message, I tried chess again, same thing happened (pointer alternating between swirling rainbow circle and pointer, but both unresponsive to anything) so I force shutdown. When I rebooted, instead of the grey Apple logo, the screen was purple and broken up until I got the blue Apple OSX starting up. Just to see I restarted normally but got the same thing. Please, lease advise as my bargain refurbished G$ is now looking less like a bargain. PP >> Stay informed about: Screen distortion - PS

HELP : G4 550 flickering screen. - Greeting, I never experienced this before until recently. When I powered up the G4, the screen would flicker. It appears to be a loose LCS connection around the front left corner because the screen would be fine when I pressed hard there with my fingers....
