I see Time Capsule listed for sale in the on-line Apple Store. I've
looked around for some reviews as I want to decide whether it's my
best local backup solution or not. (I've been holding off getting
local external hard drives).

But I haven't seen any working reviews yet.

What have you seen?

Time Capsule is an excellent buy considering that you are getting both an
Airport Extreme and a "server quality" hard drive in a single package.

The big plus is that you can partition the Time Capsule drive so that it can
be the recipient of backups from multiple computers accessing that drive
wirelessly.

Why would you have to partition the drive? The backup structure of Time
Machine allows for more than one machine, does it not?

Actually I didn't mention partitioning the drive at all, and it is true that
any drive can be the recipient of Time Machine backups from more than one
computer.

I think the biggest reason you haven't seen any reviews yet is that as
far as I know no-one has actually received one yet.

Ouch! Nothing like getting caught! :-(

What's even worse is that I went back to look at my original posting in the
thread and didn't catch the word "partition".

So now it is time for extreme humility.

Perhaps I was thinking that, outside of Time Machine, one can partition the
drive for differing uses.

BTW, what does it mean that "server grade" sentence? Anybody tried to
look inside the Time Capsule what kind of drive they have installed and
if it possible to swap it for bigger drive in the future??
