I *definitely* agree that there should be a confirmation dialog here.
I've done the same thing so many times that as a work-around I finally
turned off automatic saving of the newsgroup file. So now when I quit
MT-NW it prompts me to save the file, and I can decline if I realize
that I've accidently deleted a newsgroup. It's far from ideal, but
better than nothing. :-(
