Ah, so, it turns out there *is* a price to be paid if you're
a Constitutional Monarchy and you set a new ruling party against the
will of the voters in order to be freed up to achieve some specific
aim (typically, for me, in reaping the advantages of Full Citizenship
for all peoples in my nation). It turns out this raises militancy
among, well, everybody.
Also while in my current game I'm doing very nicely for the
United Kingdom as a world power and dominating the globe in a way
that Cecil Rhodes would find to be just about enough, I also kind of
accidentally without meaning to broke the Monarchy. With luck I can
stabilize back into some sort of democracy at least.
