WMP install for MAC OS 9.2.1

I installed WMP for MAC on my Sonnet accellerated PPC
(G4/800MHz)and lost all LAN and Internet connectivity
thru our SOHO server (D-Link 704). I checked all the
settings in the MAC system and used Tech Tool Pro to test
the hardware, found nothing, so I rebooted on
the "reserve" SCSI drive (OS 8.6, locked) and still had
no connectivity.
I tried connecting to the D-Link on the on-board (10 MP/s)
Ethernet connection instead of the 100MP/s Ethernet PCI
card with the same result. I cannot see the LAN in the
chooser on either system and cannot connect to the
internet or the D-Link's web based interface. What the
heck happened and how do I fix it?

That's really unusual... Did you try disabling all extensions installed
by WMP ??
