I am running OSX Panther on an iMac with a Canon S900 printer connected via
USB to my Mac. I have a Linksys Wireless G Router. My daughters iBook sees
the printer when on my wireless network and prints no problem - I have
Printer Sharing checked in System Preferences. But no matter what I try I
can't get my Windows 2000 laptop to "see" the printer. Mac knowledge base
says I should be able to print using SMB, but can't seem to make it work.

As a side note, I also have Windows File Sharing checked in System
Preferences and my Windows system can see my Mac files without a problem.

If you figure it out, please post a solution! I've been banging my head
on the exact same problem, with an Airport Extreme Base Station. The
AEBS is in an inconvenient location for connecting a printer to its USB
port (on the wall in the stairwell), and my printer (HP deskjet 5550)
prints just fine from the iMac, but I can't manage to get the Vaio
laptop to see it, even though I do have the AppleTalk service available.
