Unfortunately, you've been misled - deleting the Media Player registry keys
will cause it not to work, but it won't fix anything. It's also not
directly repairable. Please don't follow the instructions of anyone who
tells you to do that.
You may be able to use System Restore to get back to before you followed
that bad advice.
There is no general "WMP doesn't work" problem, so it's probably most of
value to actually independently troubleshoot-

when it stopped working, etc, are of pretty high value.
