There isn't an Import command; you'd import supported documents using
the standard Open command and choosing All Available under File Format.
The previous poster specifically mentioned MacWrite, not WriteNow, but
AppleWorks 6 doesn't import either. Older versions of
AppleWorks/ClarisWorks did open MacWrite documents, but if it ever
opened WriteNow documents that was quite a long time and several
versions ago.
Oh, and by the way, AppleWorks 6 must have been migrated from your
previous Mac, as Apple has long since discontinued it and it has not
been included with new Macs for several years. No version of it, or
ClarisWorks, was ever included with the Mac OS itself, by the way, just
bundled with new Macs.

Correction and update: ClarisWorks 4.0 will open WriteNow and MacWrite
documents. AppleWorks 6 won't even open ClarisWorks 2.0 documents.
