Bob was not an operating system. It was a response to the horrid
Packard Bell Navigator (or whatever they called it) and promoted by the
future Mrs. Gates.

The Zune remains a turd. The only ones I've seen are behind a locked
case at Wally World.

Yeah, right. As quiet as microsoft.public.windowsxp groups, you mean?

No one in their right mind uses the microsoft.public groups. You can't fix a
problem with the bad advice dished out in those groups. The real experts are
in the alt. ...XP groups: those are very quiet nowadays.

Windows XP groups are in the microsoft.public.windowsxp.* hieararchy,
Vista groups are in microsoft.public.windows.vista.*. The entire
microsoft.public.* hieararchy is about 1,800 groups: Feel free to go
through it and figure out all the ones relevant to Windows XP and/or
Windows Vista.

Whoops. My bad. I'm posting from one advocacy group and was thinking
about the windows version. Guess it only shows how little attention I
pay to what "zara" writes.. ;)

Foolish enough to not put up with malware, DLL hell, etc. Now adjust

'Malware"? A thing of the past. "DLL hell"? A thing of the past. I have
been computing since 1991 - no viruses, trojans, malware, intrusions.

I've been at it longer. No viruses, trojans, malware, intrusions here
either. You have to either be careless, or not have the slightest bit of
common sense to get infected with any of that.

You guys are hilarious. You mean you have to be ultra-careful with an XP
install until it has been patched. I can put a fresh install of OS X on the
internet and not worry about it. BECAUSE IT'S SECURE BY DEFAULT.
