The windows media player (on my Mac) opens the video but there is no sound
even though all the sound settings are correct.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Well it's either one of the many bugs of WMP for Mac, or the file uses
an audio codec not supported in WMP for Mac.

Have you tried installing the Flip4Mac WMV codecs for windows instead
(this is what MS themselves recommends nowadays)?

You'd probably be much better in the long run leaving media player
alone. Install Flip4Mac instead, which plays back the windows media
files in Quicktime (which is Mac native, so well supported)
