According to Dantz's compatibility engine, there's no such thing as
an SDK-5200.
There is an SDT-5200 DAT drive listed. If that's what you have, then
it is supported with Retrospect version 2.1 or later. The drive
should have firmware version 3.02 or later.
No Xircom devices are listed on their MacOS X SCSI host adapter
compatibility list.
The list is here:
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.dantz.com/index.php3?SCREEN=kbase&ACTION=KBASE&id=27381" target="_blank">http://www.dantz.com/index.php3?SCREEN=kbase&ACTION=KBASE&id=27381</a>
I didn't see any mention of Xircom adaptors on the Dantz Forum either.
Which means what you ask is not officially supported by Retrospect.
It might work, but I've got no way of telling you. If you already
have the drive and adaptor and Retrospect, go give it a try.
If it doesn't work, you'll either need a different tape drive or a
SCSI host adaptor. If you decide to go for the host adaptor, check
the compatibility list.
Best of luck.
