Post subject: cameras supported by Final Cut Pro 1.0?
Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>hardware>misc, others (more info?)

So, while trying to get Final Cut Pro 1.0 to recognize a Canon ZR45 on the
PCI FireWire card, I find this URL:

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=31093
"Final Cut Pro: FireWire camera not recognized"

People -- like myself -- who are trying to find out if FCP 1.0 will
support their camera are directed to a dead link. The search engine at
apple.com has pretty much succeeded in making their support database
totaly opaque. A search for "support, FireWire cameras" brings up two
links, one of which is the URL above.

So, anyway...who here knows if Final Cut Pro 1.0 supports the Canon ZR45?
The machine this is running on is a 7600/G3 upgrade with OS9.1, QuickTime
Pro 6.0 and an IOGear GIC430F 3-port FireWire PCI adapter card. The System
Profiler shows the card is "present", but with the usual amount of info
"not available".

Although my Extensions Manager shows both sets of required enablers
switched on, Final Cut Pro claims that they're missing. Ideas? Please
write to the address in my .sig.

Thanks in advance,
