If you are having the same problem I had, and you are sick and tired
of trying to find support information about RDC on Microsoft's web
site ... here is the problem and the solution.

Problem: after numerous successful connection sessions to a Windows
server, suddenly you can no longer make connections. You get a pop up
message box telling you to contact your system administrator or try
again later and something about there being too many connections.

In my situation, i knew this to be bogus because I am contacting the
server of my customer in the middle of the night when nobody else is
logged on. Moreover, if I use the RDC client on my PC laptop, it
connects immediately. And, I am able to make connections to my own
Windows 2000 servers.

There is the (unconfirmed) possibility that the server I can't connect
to is running Windows 2003 server.

Solution:

Do not waste your time discarding items from the preferences folder in
the User's Library folder on your Mac. That does nothing.

Instead, go to the Microsoft folder in the user called "Shared" and
discard the contents of the folder called RDC Crucial Server
Information.

Connections can be restored immediately when you do that.

PS. This is consistent whether you are running Jaguar or Panther
