I use the same camcorder with iMovie 3 on my iBook (OS 10.3.4). It's as
easy as pie. Since Sony doesn't provide one with the camera, you'll need
to buy a Firewire cable with the Sony DV plug on one end and the
standard Firewire plug on the other. Plug the Sony into your Mac and
launch iMovie. You can import movie clips, edit, insert transitions and
export to QT or DVD (if you have a G4 Mac with a DVD recorder). You can
also write your edited movie back onto a Hi8 tape (at DVD quality).
iMovie is a brilliant intuitive piece of software but you should have a
user's guide like David Poque's iMovie 3 & iDVD
