Post subject: crash with powerpoint
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>mac>office>powerpoint (more info?)

I'm working on Windows XP. My powerpoint crash when I type in my
document the following characters "-->", automaticaly powerpoint
transform these 3 characteres in a special one (right arrow) - that
what I'm expecting - at then crash (Not expected!!)

Any suggestion, patchs alvailable?

This is the Mac side of the newsgroup, Jacques. It's better to post PC
questions over on the PC side. But ...

Choose Tools, AutoCorrect Options
On the AutoFormat As You Type tab, remove the check next to "Smiley facees :-)
and arrows (==>) with special symbols"

The other options here may also cause trouble so you might want to turn them
off as well.
