Outlook crashes on entering "c", "n" or "h"

Whenever addressing an email that has a name starting in c,
n, or h - the program immediately crashes. I get around it
by entering the lastname first, ie batescathy - but often
forget to do this, and it is extremely annoying.

I have tried trashing the program and re-installing it, but
the same thing always happens.

Any ideas?
