I can get an infinite number of colors on charts, but when I try to get matching fill colors for pivots or custom tables, I only get the boring 40 standard options. There is a grayed-out "pick fill color" icon under "Color," but I can't figure out how to activate it.

I'd like to have more color freedom.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Excel (all platforms and versions) support only about 50 colors. If you want
a different color from one of the standard, you can change the color
palette, but you are giving up one color for another. The limit does not
change. Look in help to find out about custom colors.
