I decided to download MacOS 9.2.1 via the "six pieces" method at
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=120030#English
I used IE5 to do this. IE5's Download Manager said everything was
completed OK and I've got something called "Mac OS 9.2.1 Update.smi" on
my desktop - which I suppose is the first of six pieces. However I also
get an error dialog box stating
The ShrinkWrap engine has reported an error
Error -43
Is this a bogus error caused by the fact that only one of six pieces of
9.2.1 has been downloaded or is it a real error indicating the
downloaded .smi file is invalid?
What's supposed to happen when I download the next piece - will it
generate another .smi file or will the second piece be added to the .smi
file I already have?
Thanks,
Eric
