Post subject: embedding fonts in a doc
Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>system (more info?)

I've been using Macs since almost day one (1984)
but I have never run across a Mac application
being able to embed fonts in a document.
Is this possible? It sure doesn't appear to be so
in Word 2004's "Save" dialog box.

In a Windows application (unsure of which OS
since all Windows dialog boxes look ugly),
the Save dialog box features an Embed TrueType checkbox.
This allows the Windows user to take the fonts with him
in case the machine on which he uses his PowerPoint presentation
lacks the fonts that he used in his PowerPoint slides.

If this is possible in an OSX app,
please let us know how it's done.
Thanks for any help.
