error -47

I just upgraded from a G3 w/OS 9.2 to a G5 w/ OS 10.3.2. When using
Outlook Express 5.0.6, I keep getting the following error message:
error -47, could not retrieve mail from the account
suzanne.RemoveThis@fineline-studio.com the file is already in use. I do seem to
get my mail but not sure if I'm getting it all. Please help!

I'm now getting the same thing, "File is already in use" error -47. (G5, OS X 10.3, Entourage 2001 under classic).

And have tried everything I can think of to fix this; dump pref's, rebuild dbase and reinstalled the suite as well.

Can anyone shed some light on this error code and how to fix it. Many thanks in advance.
