I am having trouble with an extern USB2 drive from a Chinese company
named TravelStar. My MacBook recognizes it, and I can even copy files
onto and off of it, but I am unable to delete contents. When I try to
delete items the process is ridiculously slow. Afterwards, "ghosts" of
the old folders and files remain. When I click on them, the names
revert to "untitled", and they don't appear to have any contents... but
the memory of the HD remains occupied. This is a nuissance! I'd
appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks, Matt

This worked perfectly, thank you. I used the disk utility and it
cleared up some additional problems with the partition as well. Much
appreciated.
