I have downloaded BootCD and want to use it. As I understand it,
BootCD allows you to make a bootable disk image which you can then burn
to a CD. But you have to put something on the disk image and that's what
I'm not sure about.
A disk image that would fit on a CD can only be 650 MB in size and my
System Folder is 590 MB in size. So I can't put much else into the disk
image unless BootCD does some kind of compression thing.
I read the BootCD readme file and it's unclear (to me) on this
point. It says you can add *other* files to the disk image, such as a
disk repair utility, but it doesn't say anything about what system files
you have to include. In fact, I thought it kind of implies that the
necessary system files are put on automatically -- but I could be
reading that wrong.
If someone who has actually done this could describe the steps
between when you create the disk image and when you burn it, I would
very much appreciate it.
