Keep in mind that they have managed to implement all these features in
Outlook Web Access. That group has managed to implement all these
features, why not in Entourage? Gee, you think maybe they don't want
us to be able to run Windows free. It's only a matter of time before
someone else develops a client that does all of this and we won't need
to purchase any Microsoft applications. If Microsoft won't do it,
someone else will.

We stepped back from features and took the time to improve the app's quality and reliability. Without doing so, it would have been much harder to deliver more Exchange functionality in the future as we plan to do. You will find Entourage 2008 much more reliable when using existing Exchange functionality such as calendaring and mailbox synchronization.

The features you mention above are needed too... but as a development director myself, and one who has been a program and product manager as well, comparable product parity is vital to happy customers. My personal choice would have been to continue on parity (e.g. Tasks) before I'd have spent time on new features like "My Day". After all, isn't My Day just a better version of "Outlook Today"???
