claims to get playable performance on his 667, and someone here:

claims to be able to run it on a 700MHz G3.

You'll likey need to turn everything down and run at 640x480. Multiplayer
should give you better performance than solo. Remember to hold down P at
launch.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

FWIW, I can run Halo just fine on my 700 MHz eMac (1 GB Memory).
Granted most of the options are turned down but I'm impressed
With how playable it is.

Just picked up on this thread.
FWIW I have Halo on my Dual 500 G4 (1Gb ram 64mb GeForce4MMx graphics card). It
works just fine - no slow down at all @800x600 resolution.

It runs pretty good on my dual 1.2 GHz Quicksilver and Radeon 9800. The
game is more GPU limited than CPU limited, so while your CPU may impact
performance a bit, your video card and graphics subsystem will have a
big part in determining performance.

Now that the 1.0.3 patch has been released, Westlake is working on the
demo.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

I have a G4/867 with GeForce 4Ti gfx card. Runs great at 1024x768
resolution, with medium detail.
