I wasn't aware of any software that *must* have a certain speed. Usually
that's just a minimum recommendation. You could still run it but it
might be very slow.
The biggest problem I see is that you could trash both Macs trying to do
this. Both Macs would have to have ZIF sockets and you'd have to know
how to set the jumpers on the motherboard. He/She might be better off

I haven't done this myself but I have been looking into upgrade my B&W
G3 to a G4 CPU.
