Archived from groups: comp>sys>mac>hardware>storage (more info?)

OK, call me paranoid - but after a catastrophic data loss, ALL my HDs
are now individually backed up to, uh, backup HDs every night (by
Retrospect). Some are backed up to mirrored RAIDs....

This works just fine, but it does leave my desktop rather covered in
disk icons (ten or eleven at last count!)

All the backup disk names begin with 'B.", and it wouldn't be quite so
bad if the Mac put them all together - but, it doesn't.

Could some kindly guru please tell me:

A. Is there any way of hiding a disk so that Retrospect can see it, but
I can't? (Unless I need to, of course!)

B. If the answer to A is 'no', is there any way of putting displayed
HDs in any sort of order?

Help much appreciated!
