Will all of iLife'08 and specifically the version of Garage Band
included with it run on Tiger or is this a Leopard optimized release?
Thanks.

iLife '08 was released before Leopard when Tiger was still the latest
and greatest, so it does indeed run there.

the iMovie part of iLife '08 may not run on your computer, it was
updated to a new program and needs a very speedy machine, it doesn't
work on my G4 1.25Gz PowerBook, in fact it won't even install on my
machine.

No great loss; the older version is better anyway.

Actually, for some things, the new version is better, for some others
the previous version.

Having both covers the bases.

I'll be running it on an intel mac book - specifically is garage band
'08 significantly better than version 3.0.4? Worth the price of the
upgrade?

Haven't used Garage Band much since iLife '06; we were talking about
iMovie '08 and '06 above.

OP subject is about Garage Band - hence the question - another thread
dies because it's driven off-topic.

Actually, the thread had already pretty much died until you revived it
with this. But FWIW, the OP's subject included *both* iLife and Garage
Band specifically, even though the latter is part of the former.

According to some that would make GB "synonymous" and "identical" to iLife
but not the other way around.

Yes, Wally and Adams, I am mocking your lack of logic. :)
