I have a slot-loading iMac that I use only to play DVDs. It's running
OS 10.3.6. When I last used it a couple months ago, I had only the
Finder, the DVD Player, and the Trash in the Dock.
When I started the machine up today, the Dock configuration was as it
used to be when I was using the iMac regularly years ago: two folders
and a number of applications in addition to those mentioned above.
The apps and the folders all open just fine from the Finder. But the
only option displayed when I click on an icon in the Dock is "Show in
Finder," which means that I can neither open these items from the Dock
or removed them from it.
Does anyone have any idea as to what might be wrong? It's no big
thing, obviously, but I'd like to fix it if I can.
