I have a first generation iMac G5 (the one with the rounded base)
which has been working perfectly until now. I inserted a burned dvd in
the drive and a) it was unreadable, and b) the tray will not eject
now! Since inserting the disk, a small icon (the "eject" icon) now
appears in the upper-right of the screen, which displays an "Eject
combo drive" message when clicked on. When I scroll to it, the
computer just clocks and clocks (with the multi-colored "pinwheel"
pattern spinning) but never does eject the disk. I've tried
restarting, and zapping the P-RAM, but that didn't work.

Any ideas?
