Post subject: iMac starts up slow

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't find anything under search. Well, I have a pretty new iMac. Got it only a few weeks ago from MacMall through http://www.dealrocker.com discount deal. When I purchased my iMac, it took about 10 seconds to be ready to use, but now it takes about 1 minute. Can anyone help me to understand this issue?

Thanks in advance.
